Abstract

The switch from the aquatic life to the earth life breath- ing air, was the cause for the developing of the right heart. The evolutive proccess from the first primitive pulmonary circulation in the first fishes with lungs in the devonic period; to the final well developed right heart in the cocodrileans group in the jurasic period; ended after 200 million years. This fact, the developing of the right heart, was the consequence of the adaptation to the earth life and it was carry out with an anterior pattern of coronary flow, the fishes pat. The ventricular division in right and left ventricles was done posterior if it is compared to the "anterior" pattern of coronary flow and it was the cause of an blood supply/ventricular muscle index that is higher in the right ventricle than in the left one. Actually, the right ventricle is adapted to receive lower pressures and resistances values (1/5 lower) than the left.
