Abstract

This report describes the case of a patient who was admitted to the Emergency Department, in cardiac arrest with a gunshot cardiac wound. The wound involved the right ventricle, right atrium and right lung, and was surgically repaired with revision of cardiac injury and drainage of hemato-pneumothorax. The echocardiogram recorded in the mediate post-operative period demonstrated a perforation hole of a tricuspid valve, which produced a minor tricuspid insufficiency. Here we include different considerations regarding cardiac traumatism.
